Marc Sirockman brings 30 years of industry experience, unique perspectives, and a passion for excellence to all his client engagements. Following successful field, management, and sales training positions in the pharma/biotech industry, Marc is skilled in developing strategic insights within the complex touchpoint-matrix framework required to engage healthcare providers, caregivers, payers, and patients. Marc was named a Top 100 PharmaVOICE Most Inspiring Leader in both 2013 and 2015. Marc’s mission is to creatively engage with stakeholders to achieve an impactful, single, shared voice of truth to drive performance within the complex health ecosystem.

Anna Walz, Chief Executive Officer

From senior roles in advertising to the founding of MedEvoke, Anna has pioneered the development of innovative business strategies, operational processes, products, and services. With Anna at the helm, MedEvoke has become a leading partner to many top-20 pharmaceutical corporations. Her significant impact on the industry led Anna to be named a Top 100 PharmaVOICE Most Inspiring Leader in 2012. Her experience also led to her appointment to the Board of Trustees of the Diversity Alliance for Science, Hunterdon Healthcare System, and to her nomination as Chairman of the Board of Hunterdon Regional Community Health. In addition, Anna is a member of the Executive Leadership Committee of the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) and serves as Co-Chair of the Standards and Guidance Committee at MAPS.

David Segarnick, PhD., Chief Medical Officer

With graduate degrees in both pharmacology and neurochemistry and 2 decades of industry experience, Dr. Segarnick has worked across most therapeutic areas and has supported the launches of blockbusters like Nexium, Prevnar 13, Tykerb, and Cervarix. Involved in every client initiative, he is an expert at building compelling narratives and bridging the communication gap between Commercial and Medical Affairs in client organizations. As a testament to his experience, Dr. Segarnick was named a Top 100 PharmaVOICE Most Inspiring Leader in 2013. Dr. Segarnick is also a professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience at Rutgers University / New Jersey Medical School.

Shauna Aherne, Senior Vice President, Strategic Accounts

Shauna brings over a decade of experience across the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and research markets. She has a passion for innovation and driving impact and has demonstrated success through her strong collaborations and supportive partnerships with clinical and medical affairs, through launch excellence and beyond. Shauna is a leader in supporting her team and in driving value to support MedEvoke’s partners and clients. Using her knowledge of the therapeutic market, as well as clinical development and organizational objectives, Shauna employs creative thinking combined with data insight to deliver unique and strategic solutions. Shauna received her BS in biology from Salisbury University, Maryland, with a focus on premed studies and genetic research. She also holds a second degree in psychology from Towson University and earned her MBA with a specialization in management, project management, and marketing.

Fred Short, Vice President, Strategic Accounts

As Vice President of Strategic Accounts, Fred Short brings over 15 years of sales management experience in the healthcare information industry, supporting a range of initiatives in research and development, medical information, regulatory affairs, marketing, and educational outreach. With broad knowledge of many therapeutic categories—including neurology, ophthalmology, diabetes, infectious disease, and pathology—Fred has acquired global expertise in designing layered, effective solutions scaled to client need. He has been instrumental in developing customized education programs for the American Academy of Neurology, American Heart Association, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, among others. Prior to his current role, Fred was Director of Sales – Eastern Region for Wolters Kluwer, and Director of Corporate Sales at Ovid Technologies. He holds a BA in finance from Philadelphia University.

During that time, he successfully carried various compounds and devices from the pre-clinical stage through to market. His early career was spent at Baxter Lifesciences, ThermoFisher Scientific, Atcor Medical, and Artcraft Health, where collectively he supported hundreds of global and domestic clients. Brian holds a BA in economics with a minor in finance from University of Maryland, College Park. He is also certified in the principles of Good Clinical Practice developed by the International Conference on Harmonization.

Lise Goldstein, Vice President, Client Services

Lise brings over 20 years of experience working with clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, where she developed custom-tailored solutions that led to the effective execution of countless business strategies and tactical plans. Lise has extensive experience in customer relationship management, business operations, project management, and hands-on service delivery. She partners with strategic account leaders and is instrumental in driving effective engagements while ensuring successful client collaboration. Lise leads MedEvoke’s dynamic Client Services and Operations teams, where she ensures that client-services initiatives are delivered with the highest level of quality and professionalism.

Barbara Zolli, RN, MS, Vice President, Content Services

Barb has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare, medical education, communications, clinical research, and marketing sectors. She has created and managed high-performing teams that execute content deliverables across a multitude of disease states in a wide array of platforms. She successfully collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and manages the medical / legal / regulatory process. Barb is committed to designing and shaping initiatives that deliver the highest-quality work in a compliant manner. Barb holds an MS in Human Resource Management and Industrial Psychology, a BA in English, and is a licensed RN.
